ATDS Faculty Travel Award 2015

AMERICAN THEATRE AND DRAMA

FACULTY TRAVEL AWARD

Deadline:  April 01, 2015

Purpose: To provide an award in support of faculty travel to present research at a professional conference.

Eligibility: Faculty members at any rank who are members of ATDS and have not previously been awarded an ATDS Faculty Travel grant are eligible to apply.*

Award Amount: $400.00

The application should include:

1.   A 600-word proposal detailing your conference presentation, including an abstract of the paper, the invitation/notice of acceptance from the panel organizers, and a description of other funding sources (if applicable). Preference will be given to those presentations that best reflect ATDS’s mission to advance the study of American theatre and drama (broadly defined), its varied histories, traditions, literatures, and performances within its cultural contexts. ATDS also encourages the evolving debate exploring national identities and experiences through research, pedagogy, and practice.

2.   A 2-3 pp. bio with most pertinent information.

*Important Note: This year’s faculty travel award is designated for supporting travel for conference presentations.  In alternate years, it will be designated to support faculty travel to conduct research.  Former winners of an ATDS Faculty Research Award may apply for a Travel award.
